SME Succession Is Hard: Timah Secures S$60 Million to Speed Up Acquisitions
Some Singapore SMEs close because no one is lined up to take over. Speaking to Lianhe Zaobao, Timah Partners Founder and CEO Dennis Chua said the firm will use its new S$60 million facility over three to five years to buy three to 10 well-run, asset-light B2B businesses that lack a succession plan, and hold them for the long term. “For founders, succession is a major decision, and the considerations go far beyond price,” he said.
